For this month's Extra Mile, we are incredibly proud to spotlight our charity partner for the upcoming Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K: House of Ruth Maryland!

House of Ruth Maryland leads the fight to end intimate partner violence. This work is twofold: ensuring survivors have the tools they need to navigate safety and healing, while also stopping IPV at its core through education and prevention. House of Ruth Maryland provides wraparound services for survivors and their children, including a 24-hour hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, safe housing, and more, engages those who use abusive behaviors through our Abuse Intervention Program, and educates the community on how to recognize and respond to IPV so that one day, every Marylander will be safe in their own home.
