Dave Cooley, a beloved figure in the Baltimore running community for decades, was the first head of Charm City Run Events and the inaugural director of the Baltimore Marathon. Instrumental in the creation and growth of Charm City Run races, Dave organized and managed remarkable and inclusive events that raised millions for various charities. Dave's passion for people, running, and community was evident in all that he did and he truly embodied our motto: Live. Give. Run.

Inspired by Dave’s enduring legacy and impact, Charm City Run has established the Dave Cooley Runner Support Fund to make the sport he loved accessible to all. This fund aims to provide support for training and events to individuals and teams who might otherwise lack the access or financial means to participate.
